Through the years tech companies have been innovating and revolutionizing the way we see and use technology. From the early 1980’s there has been a surge of technological startups and advancements. Currently the technology industry boasts the largest companies in existence. One of if not the largest of these being Apple. Apple is known for its innovative nature with the iPhone and Mac. However at its core, Apple is all about simplicity. When you talk about Mac OS X the first thing that comes to one’s mind is its simplicity. While there are several companies who produce software for laptops, they are solely focused on performance improvements and less on user friendliness and interface. This is where Apple excels. They revel in the production of extremely simplistic works of art.
The latest operating system that is used in Mac computers is OS X El Capitan. This new update brings with it hundreds of new features. However while one could think that it’s easy to get lost in these new features, that is where Apple has excelled. They have managed to make such an advanced system seem so easy and simple. People of all ages could learn about Mac OS X I’m just a few hours with it. This simplicity is mainly due to the arrangement of interface design that Apple has put in place. They have made away with distractions on the interface screen and replaced them with only the most essential elements. This is made the desktop and interface a cleaner and refined experience. The magic in this is that even after doing all the cleanup, the functionality of the OS still remains of not more so than before. The features that are used frequently are shown prominently. While the features that are not used frequently are put under niche tabs. One big feature that facilities the simplicity of the Mac OS X is the search feature. Not only does it accommodate anything you want to be found, it also can be used to search for other features in the Mac. This means that anything you need, you need only to search for it.
Due to the fact that Apple has invested so much time and money in simplicity makes you think about Mac OS X as more of a work of art than a technological device. This is what Apple has form in the past and this is what they are currently doing. This simplicity is also a motivation for developers to build their applications to match the aesthetic of the OS. Hence developers make their applications cleaner and simpler. This adds to the functionality of the Mac OS X as well as giving developers the platform they need to take their apps to the next level.
As we have mentioned above there are countless things to love about Mac OS X. But nothing more so than the simplicity that it offers.
